Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 21, 2025
iDeedit (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a hashed password. We do not store your password in readable form.
Tracking data
Your deeds, logs, field values, reminders, and goals are stored on our servers. This is the core data the app exists to hold for you. It is associated with your account and not shared with other users.
Usage and technical data
We log API requests (endpoint, timestamp, status code) for debugging and service monitoring. Logs are retained for up to 30 days and then purged automatically. We do not use third-party analytics trackers on your in-app activity.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. We receive a customer ID and subscription status from Stripe to manage your plan. Stripe’s privacy policy governs how they handle payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
AI Smart Setup
When you use the AI Smart Setup feature, the text description you provide is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate a deed configuration. Only the text you type in that moment is transmitted — your historical tracking data, logs, or personal information are never included. Anthropic’s privacy policy governs their handling of that request: anthropic.com/privacy.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the iDeedit service
- To send you reminders you have configured
- To respond to support requests
- To process subscription payments and manage your plan
- To diagnose and fix technical issues
- To improve the service based on aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your tracking data for advertising.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI feature, only when you use it), and our hosting provider. Each is bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer to the new operator under the same privacy commitments.
4. Data Retention
Your account and tracking data are retained as long as your account exists. API request logs are purged automatically after 30 days. If you delete your account, all associated data (deeds, logs, reminders, goals, contacts, credits) is permanently deleted. Anonymized feedback you have submitted may be retained for service improvement purposes.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your data: Use Export in the iDeedit mobile app (Settings → Export) to download everything as CSV or JSON.
- Correct your data: Update your email or username in your account settings.
- Delete your data: Delete your account in the iDeedit mobile app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). All your data is permanently removed.
- Portability: Your exported data is in standard CSV and JSON formats.
- Withdraw consent: Stop using the service at any time. If you have no active subscription, you can delete your account immediately.
Residents of California (CCPA), the European Union, and the United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR) may have additional rights. To exercise any right or to request data deletion on your behalf, contact us at [email protected].
6. Security
We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Passwords are stored using WordPress’s bcrypt-based hashing. Access to the production database is restricted to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
7. Children’s Privacy
iDeedit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
